Description
The Maasai Elder is carved by hand from Charcoal (dyed) soapstone quarried in the Tabaka hills, then shaped, sanded and given a etched & dyed finish in our Nakuru workshop. Measures roughly 36 × 10 × 9 cm. Because every piece is carved individually, grain, colour and size vary slightly — the one you receive is unique. Wipe with a soft, dry cloth; keep away from harsh cleaners.
The story of this piece
“The shuka pattern is etched in the classic Kisii way, revealing the pale stone beneath the dye.”
