Description
The Sleeping Lion is carved by hand from Pink Tabaka soapstone quarried in the Tabaka hills, then shaped, sanded and given a polished finish in our Nakuru workshop. Measures roughly 24 × 12 × 9 cm. Because every piece is carved individually, grain, colour and size vary slightly — the one you receive is unique. Wipe with a soft, dry cloth; keep away from harsh cleaners.
The story of this piece
“Pink stone is the rarest in Tabaka; this block came from the lower quarry after the long rains.”
